KSDK Channel 5's Show Me St. Louis stopped by The JOY Store in Des Peres, where host Malik sat down with Bryce from JOY FM's morning show, Joy in the Morning.

What is The Joy Store?

The JOY Store started as an online shop offering merch to help St. Louis choose joy, as an extension of 99.1 JOY FM. It's since grown into a full boutique on Manchester Road. As Bryce told Malik, the mission of JOY FM and BOOST is to reach this city with the love of Jesus — "and we love that we get to do that here in the JOY Store as well."

The product line traces back to the listeners themselves. Bryce explained the team followed their listeners' lead — since JOY FM's audience loves sharing joy and choosing joy, the store was built to give them a way to do just that: give good news, and good gifts.‍ ‍

"You can get gifts anywhere," Bryce said, "but these items are so uniquely chosen and intentional, with encouraging messages and faith inspired — and are intended to make the recipient smile and feel seen and loved."

Malik shopped the store live on air. For his mom and grandma, he picked up a tumbler and a "Choose Joy" sweatshirt. For the men in his life, he grabbed a T-shirt, a journal, and a Bible.
